POWER SYSTEM

Power system is generated in large hydro electric, thermal, and nuclear power stations. These situations are generally situated far away from the load centers. This necessitates an extensive power supply network between the generating stations and the consumers loads. This network may be divided into two parts. They are transmission system and distribution system. The former may be divided into primary and secondary transmission and the latter into primary and secondary distribution. Transmission lines transmit bulk electrical power from sending end stations to receiving end stations without supplying any consumers. Any restriction on transmission voltage is technical and not legal.
